3 Common Marketing & Business Gaffs That Will Kill Profits

It is possible that the percentages for IM business failures is very similar if not higher than that for offline businesses. For many years I've read the identical statistic that 80% of offline business owners fail within two years. It is not possible to know all the individual reasons why so many people fail at internet marketing.

But if there was any one single biggest reason for failure, it would be making errors and miscalculation of all kinds. This activity of making money online allows for false information of all types across the board. But when it is all said and done, it really does not matter what caused it; but rather the end result is enough for most people.

The tricky thing is that is a normal line of logic - to give people choices and options so there will be a little something for everybody. Giving folks a range of options frequently tends to be a flawed strategy if you want to make sales. The greatest approach is to avoid presenting a menu of choices for your readers. The simple reason is that, generally speaking, people are terrible when it comes to making a decision. Buying choices are very tough for many, if not most, people to make. They can end up so indecisive that the very common outcome is nothing is bought!

All of us often assume others think the way we do; and that is why you should not think everyone is cheap just because you may be. What we are getting at is the erroneous presumption that all people want the most rock bottom price. Look at watches, for example, there are cheap and expensive watches.

Products priced in the upper stratosphere have been on the market for a long time. So then you know that if these companies can survive for that long, then obviously people are willing to pay more for them. People want to spend a lot on certain things for their own motives. So if you genuinely have something to offer that is really high quality, then you have to learn how to position your product in your advertising copy. It obviously can be done, so maybe study those companies who do sell more expensive products.

We all know about the thought of mindset that something is so fantastic that everybody will want to buy it. I think a lot of people have felt that at some time. Marketing and advertising history has its reasonable share of examples about products that appeared to be bought by almost everyone.

Yet there is no individual product or service that every person has bought. The justification you have to avoid this idea is it will sabotage your efforts; you will start to slack off and lose the marketing fire. If you begin to imagine your product will be universally liked, then that will lead you down harmful paths. The simple fact is you cannot satisfy all people with any kind of specific product or service offering.
